Happy Easter!

I hope everyone has a lovely Easter!

I wanted to show a couple or three pictures of my Easter decorations.  I limited decorating to one of my curio cabinets this year.  I don't have kids at home anymore so I'm really the only one who cares about it, and I decided I didn't want decorations scattered throughout the house.  For one thing, my three cats love to mess with anything I put out and I don't need the aggravation. They're worse than toddlers! Hehe.  Also, I can sit in my living room where the cabinet is and really see them and appreciate them.

Well, that's about it.  Stop by again soon and enjoy your day!

Favorite Children's Books

What are some of your favorite books from childhood?  I've been thinking about this a lot lately.  I've collected some of my favorites throughout the years, and they are among my most valued treasures.  Here are a few:

Striped Ice Cream by Joan M. Lexau

From the Mixed-Up Files of Mrs. Basil E. Frankweiler by E. L. Konigsburg

The All of A Kind Family series by Sydney Taylor

The Book of Three by Lloyd Alexander

Those are just a few of many.  I was quite a reader as a child and I still love all of these books.  What are some of your favorite children's or young adult books?

Happy Birthday to My Daughter

My daughter turns 20 today.  She's my baby and it's hard to believe the teen years are behind us and she is a junior in college.  I know the future holds great things for her and I'm so excited to see where her road leads.

Happy birthday, Amy!  We love you more than you can ever imagine.
