Pink Saturday!

Hello and welcome!  I'm joining Beverly for Pink Saturday.

This cute little guy is my dog, Dakota.  He was painted by an extremely talented artist.  Fifi of Fifi Flowers held a contest and my dog was one of the winners.  His painting will show up on note cards, along with five other dogs.  So exciting...eek!  I put the pink frame around him so it would be appropriate for Pink Saturday.  Please go to Fifi's blog and check out all of her wonderful works of art!  Thanks, Fifi!

HomeGoods Shopping Spree

As I mentioned in my previous post, I won a HomeGoods gift card from sweet Pat at Mille Fiori Favoriti (courtesy of BlogHer).

I had the MOST FUN shopping for a few things for my home.  I almost never get to do this, so it was a real treat.

Here is what I got:

A ceramic two-tier serving tray

Pillows for my brown leather couch

Dessert plates to hang in my kitchen (I have several different kinds hanging along the kitchen soffit)

A cute canvas painting for my craft room (which is very feminine)

More canvas paintings for the craft room

And last, but not least, a fabulous smelling candle for the bathroom

A lot of this was on clearance.  If you have a HomeGoods nearby and haven't been there yet, I urge you to give it a try.  The merchandise changes frequently.

This was so much fun.  I hope you enjoyed seeing what I got.

Today I'm sharing my vintage children's porcelain book ends.  They are from the early 60s, so although they weren't mine originally, I probably had something similar.  I think they're adorable.  I hope you enjoy them, too.

I'm sorry for the poor picture quality.  I do need to invest in a good camera someday!
