Here is the first card I've made with some of the supplies my friend Cynthia sent me. The bunny is a digital stamp that I colored.
The spots on the ruffle are actually sparkles, but I couldn't quite capture that in a picture.
This was so much fun, and I plan to make more, but it took me forever. It basically ate up my whole day off!
When I get a decent area set up in which to work, that will make it easier. I'm going to be converting my son's old bedroom into an office/craft room. I'll post pictures of the transformation whenever I get to it! I have this dumb thing called a "job" that keeps getting in the way of my fun! Hehe!

I hit the jackpot!
I'm new to card making, so when a friend in another state told me she had some supplies she wanted to give me, I jumped at the chance. I don't have much in the way of supplies, and she has a ton (she works at one of the large crafting store chains). Look at the goodies she sent me...now I have to get busy and start creating!!!
Aren't friends the best??!!

National Craft Month
Yes, it is! :)
I'm new to crafting, so I'm excited to hunt for some online deals this month. Not to mention, a friend in another state is sending me a big box of extra card making supplies that she no longer needs! I'm psyched, to say the least!
If you sign up for e-mail alerts from Overstock.com, you will sometimes be eligible for $1.00 shipping. That's an awesome deal, because most of us would spend more than that driving around to craft stores! They have this shipping special happening right now, and there are some great deals on their site, too.
Here are some of the things I'm purchasing:
Cricut Paper 12-Inch Trimmer
McGill Designer Spring Flower Punch
Martha Stewart Bone Folder Scrapbooking Tool
If you're a crafter, I hope you find some good prices on whatever you're looking for. Happy crafting!

Favorite Blogs
I admit to being slightly obsessed with blogs. I have so many on my Google Reader that I often can't read all the new posts that appear on a daily basis.
Here are a few that I think are especially good and wanted to pass along. Click the blog titles for the link.
Big Mama
This is the first blog I read each morning. She is funny, slightly irreverent, and someone I'd love to be friends with in real life.
The Pioneer Woman
I'm sure everyone has heard of Ree Drummond by now. She is always interesting and hilarious at the same time. Despite her fame, she remains down to earth and "down home".
Kelly's Korner
Kelly is adorable and has a lovely, precocious two-year-old. I don't have young children anymore, but I truly enjoy seeing pictures of her little girl and young family and hearing stories about them. It's a "can't miss"!
Melissa's Heart & Home
Melissa is a warm, lovely person and I adore her decorating sense. That alone makes her blog worth reading.
Paris Breakfasts
This inspiring artist paints watercolors that depict Parisien life. Her work is beautiful, as is her blog!
Such Pretty Things
This blog never fails to live up to its title! Enjoy!
Savvy Seasons
Liz is another person whose decorating style I really admire. I covet her kitchen!!
Buttercup Counts Her Blessings
Please do yourself a favor and visit this blog. She has been so supportive of my blogging efforts and always leaves me nice comments, plus her blog is great! It's diverse and always interesting.
My Frugal Adventures
I've gotten so many tips on great bargains here. It was especially helpful around the holidays, but there are daily updates with good deals.
I hope you all enjoy these blogs. They are all top-notch and their writers devote lots of time, effort, and creativity to their little corners of Blogland!
