Snowmen!

Or should I say...snowpeople!

I am sharing my collection with you on this Pink Saturday.  I have loved and collected snowmen for many years.  I bring them out every winter and keep them in a curio cabinet that I decorate seasonally.  I really love them!  They are so cheerful.

Last Minute Stocking Stuffer Ideas

I know...this is pretty late.  But I'm hoping it will help someone.  I'm actually done with buying all of my stocking stuffers, but each year I struggle a little for something original.  I've made these lists for women and men (which could also include teens); I don't have young children in my life, so I'm not really in touch with the best gifts for them.

Since my current job is being eliminated soon, I'm wishing for a good job that I'll enjoy.


What are your plans for the holiday this year?  
Spending time with my husband, kids (who are now grown and on their own), and parents.  We do things like attending The Nutcracker, seeing the zoo lights, and we love to walk through a neighborhood called Winterhaven on Christmas Eve.  They go all out with decorations.  It has become a tradition.  Oh, also Chinese food and festive movies on Christmas Eve!

I try to do a seasonal "What clothing would I buy if I could."  It's not only fun, but it gets my imagination going.  This is the second one I've done for fall...I think I love fall just a little bit!  The colors are so rich and warm.

You know that rumor about zombies coming...

Well, here in my city, they will arrive on October 13th!  Not to worry, though.  It's all for fun and to collect food and funds for our county's food bank.

I have yet to attend this extravaganza.  It seems a little too creepy to me, but friends who have gone say it is a fun-filled event.  This might be the year I take the plunge!  What costume should I wear??

People dress in costumes...anything from Alice in Wonderland to various animals.  The twist is that they use makeup to make themselves appear zombified (is that a word?).

Pink Saturday

So, what's everyone doing this Labor Day weekend?

Me, I'm painting the exterior of my house!

Okay, I'm not really using this color.  It's going to be off-white, because we're boring like that.  I have no idea what the trim color will be. It's going to take me at least two weekends to paint the rest, never mind the trim.  Maybe blue. :)

It has been raining cats and dogs here in southern Arizona. We desperately need the rain, so I'm not complaining.  I am ill-prepared, however.  I think I might need a few things.
